Because this is the most powerful year in which to do this work. A 9 year, a snake year (they shed their skins for renewal) and in a 9 month. All about endings, clearing the way for new beginnings, new energy, new ways of being. I have long had the message that women will be instumental in the rebirth of a new, more sustainable, more peace filled future for our Planet and this message has become very loud in the midst of the destruction, annihilation and control we are now witnessing on our earth. Bringing our medicine into the world during these times is vital. The women are the life bringers, life givers, our wombs shed every month until we reach the Maga era; we are capable of great strength, great change, creative thinking and great healing.

This beautiful weekend retreat is for you if:

*You are being called to use an authentic red medicine drum as part of your journey to work with other women especially in a healing capacity

*Are a doula and already working with women and would like to incorporate a red medicine drum into that work

*You wish to connect with yourself and to make your own authentic drum in a ceremonial way bringing your own personal medicine into your drum which will become a part of you 

* You wish to be part of a web of women rising in their power and aiding other women to recognise their strengths and gifts, helping to create a more balanced world

* You wish to cleanse and prepare yourself in a ceremonial temazcal with an experienced medicine woman before starting to weave your medicine into your medicine drum 

*You wish to be looked after for 3 and a half days, nurtured all the way.. to go somewhere where you will not have to think about anything other than yourself and your process

*You wish to immerse yourself into a retreat of healing, journeying, relaxation, connection to nature, laughter and support

My retreats incorporate ceremonial releasing, shamanic and vibrational healing, Shamanic Drum Healing & Journeying Work, meditations, voice work, channelled sound healing, Native North American Style Flute meditations... and of course, in all of this, making your own authentic 15" red medicine drum and drum stick.

 

I am Faye Bradbury and I have been working with Spirit since I was born both as a healing channel, at one with the earth (I am a qualified shamanic practitioner and sound therapy practitioner amongst other things) and as a medium, clairvoyant, empath etc etc. With years of experience, I will take you on a profound journey of exploration of your inner Worlds, of release and healing, of a deep connection to the Earth and the stars and weaving all of your magic into the making and birthing of your personal medicine drum. I bring compassion, laughter, deep insight and the ability to safely hold you in a loving space in order for you to let go and think only about doing your work for yourself. On this weekend you will be held and nurtured and encouraged to spread your wings and explore your needs. I aim to ensure you have the most beautiful experience and that you go away with hearts full of healing, love and laughter. ♥

 

TEMAZCAL  

A temazcal is a Mesoamerican sweat lodge ceremony. The temazcal will be the ceremonial start of your death and rebirth process, cleansing, shedding and clearing, dropping into your sacred space, into the land and into ceremony. (If you do not wish to go in, you will be able to be outside and still join in/be part of the medicine songs/ceremony.). Further information arriving soon.

 

BLOOD RED, WOMB MEDICINE DRUM

A powerful vibration, the blood red womb medicine drum symbolises the flow of life, the moon time of women, birthing. It is about cyclical flow and release. The blood of life pulsing through our veins, arteries and capillaries. She is not only reflective of Mother Earth's heartbeat but is traditionally used by women in healing, rituals, ceremonies; symbolising death and rebirth, the flow of life, fertility, protection, strength, creativity, healing, shedding and growth and connects us to our ancestral lineages as well as every other female in the world. We will work with these aspects bringing our own medicine, our own healing and flow and birthing into our medicine drums ready to work with other women and those identifying as she or her. That could be through holding womens circles or through healing or through dance etc. This weekend is a powerful acknowledgement of the divine feminine and creating space in which she can be celebrated.

 

WHERE IS IT BEING HELD

On beautiful land near to Carmarthen, West Wales, UK.  It will be a weekend of rustic charm, authentic connection to the earth as you bring your camping gear with you or share a bell tent and sleep in nature, held by the gentle breathing earth and the sound of owls and trees singing softly as the wind caresses their leaves. All meals are provided on the Saturday and Sunday and Monday breakfast. Friday night meal is bring and share. This is YOUR time to totally let go and be looked after, nurtured and held in a safe space.

 

HEALTH PRECAUTIONS

If you feel unwell or show symptoms of a cold or sore throat, cough, nausea, diahorrea etc. please do not come in order to protect the other participants.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure you take out insurance as your fee becomes non refundable 46 days before the retreat is to start. 46-50 days before, we retain your deposit and 75% of the remaining fee. These retreats take months of preparation and days of pre-preparation and outgoing costs are high. Thank you for your understanding. 

 

ACCOMMODATION/FOOD

Accommodation is camping in your own tents, small campervan or sharing a bell tent for the 3 nights. 

There is a compost loo but no shower so please bring a bowl to wash in or a solar shower.

*Please bring a plate of gluten and dairy free vegan food to share for Friday night's meal. Food will be supplied on Saturday and Sunday and Monday morning. Bring your favourite snacks if you would like to although fruit, biscuits and tea and coffee and water will be provided.

 

ARRIVALS/DEPARTURES

Arrive between 14:30 - 16:30 on the first day to set up your tent and camp and to explore the land and settle in. The temezacal will run from around 18:30.

Departure is on either Sunday evening or Monday September 8th, by midday.* Dependent upon when people can stay til.

 

CEREMONY, RELEASING, HEALING, JOURNEYING:

Friday evening will be a special evening going in to a ceremonial temazecal to start the death, releasing and cleansing part of your weekend with the experienced and beautiful Elizabeth. When you apply you will be talked through what this will entail in order for you to make an informed decision. It is not required that you sit through all 4 rounds if you find being in a sweat lodge difficult for whatever reason. Faye will often not be in there for the full time but will always be outside helping to hold space and joining in with the songs when appropriate. If you cannot sit in the lodge, you may still be part of the ceremony outside. This will be followed by a sharing of food and bed.

There will be a full on day on Saturday making your drums in ceremony and doing releasing, healing, Shamanic drum healing and journey work, shamanic and vibrational healing, flute meditations, Ancestral language if channelled and so forth. This is a day of opportunities to really connect to the Earth, to yourselves and to put your own healing and medicine and intent into your drums, making them an integral part of you, a part that moulds with you and your energies and your medicine. The work we will do may bring tears, and therefore releases, it may bring clarity, it may bring peace, it may bring joy, it may unlock something inside of you... these journeys access a deep part of you. You will be supported at all times. The day will go on for as long as we go on for and there will be a light lunch, on tap tea, coffee, juices, water and dark chocolate, a communal evening meal and time together to continue our bonding and connection to the earth, ourselves, our guides and one another.

 

Sunday will be a day of having more Shamanic Drum Journeying, of meditations, of rebalancing, of stillness, of finishing off your drum rhythm sticks and then of joyful celebration of yourselves as we birth your drums on Monday (you may not be able to play them as they may still be drying) and sing, rattle, drum and celebrate our existence, leaving by midday on Monday after a closing ceremony with your medicine drum, feeling lighter, connected, changed and happy. ♥ 🙂 Breakfast before you leave is provided. Monday is a morning of integration, of contemplation as well.

 

I work from the heart, putting everything I can in to these days, making it as special as each and every one of you are. So, a weekend full of, but not limited to, love, laughter, ceremony, celebration, release, healing, stillness, drum making, probably some tears, singing, rattling, drumming, new friendships and peace within. ♥
